Questions people actually ask
- Is transfer metered?
- No. There is no egress charge and no request charge. If a workspace generates traffic that costs us more than the plan, we will tell you before we do anything about it.
- What happens when I go over the storage limit?
- Nothing abrupt. Writes keep working and the overage is billed at the add-on rate. We send a note at 90% so it is not a surprise on the invoice.
- Can I get my files out?
- Yes, at any time and without asking us. The CLI will mirror a whole workspace to a
local path, and the S3 endpoint works with
rcloneandaws s3 sync. There is no export fee and no waiting period. - Do you offer annual billing?
- Yes, at ten months for twelve. Ask when you open the account.
- Is there a free tier?
- No, but every new workspace starts with a 30-day trial at the Grove limits, and we do not ask for card details to begin it.
